  • Project Engineer Division: Engineering Location: Wallingford, CT Reporting to: Sr.

Project Engineer Position Summary:

  • Join E-J's growing Engineering team and build a career with one of the nation’s fastest growing contractors.
  • E-J is seeking an individual with engineering experience in Electrical Construction.
  • You will be responsible to use AutoDesk Revit to design and model Electrical equipment, conduits, and supports systems for Prefabrication and Installation.
  • You will review schematics, plans, and models for Electric Code compliance.
  • You will be trained on best practices in the Electrical Industry and advocate for E-J in meetings with Clients, Architects and Engineers, and other Trades.

What You’ll Do:

  • Take ownership of modeling and managing small projects, or areas and scopes of larger projects Schedule and oversee supporting project staff to meet project deliverables Apply the National Electric Code, local building codes, and best practices to your designs Model, and design using Autodesk Revit to a high level of proficiency, and learn other software Assist senior Engineers with Contract review, 3D modeling, and production of Prefab/Install drawings Attend meetings and advocate for the best electrical practices and designs Participate in reporting, accountability, and documentation practices to improve Engineering performance and maximize project profitability Qualifications & Skills: Highly motivated team player 5-10 years of experience in a related field or industry Excellent communication skills Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code Electrical and Construction knowledge and eagerness to learn more Proficient in MS Office Suite and basic AutoDesk product skills Advantages of Working at E-J: Leading Electrical Contracting Organization Nationwide Oldest Family-Owned and Operated Electric Contractor since 1899 Job training and mentorship Competitive compensation packages Comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, and 401K plan Paid holidays and vacation Merit-Based Bonus Tuition Reimbursement Program Salary Range: $75k - $105k/year The E-J Group is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer and ensures equal employment opportunity for all persons without discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, marital status, citizenship, or any other characteristic protected by law.
