Job description
Job Title: Industrial Maintenance TechnicianLocation: Bartlett, ILHire Type: Direct HireTarget Pay Rate: $34.00 - $35.00/hour (plus OT and safety bonus)Shift: multiple shifts are available
  • 2nd shift: 2:00pm-10:30pm (Monday-Friday, occasional weekend)
  • 3rd shift: 10:00pm-6:30am (Monday-Friday, occasional weekend)

  • Industrial maintenance in food manufacturing, beverage manufacturing, or CPG manufacturing
  • Mechanical troubleshooting: bearings, belts, chains, gearboxes, conveyors, drive systems
  • Basic electrical troubleshooting (low-voltage systems)
  • PLC troubleshooting (Allen Bradley & Siemens).
  • Pneumatics and production equipment repair
  • Preventive maintenance (PM), corrective maintenance, and emergency repairs
  • Food processing equipment: mixers, cooking/cooling systems, conveyors, packaging equipment
  • Welding and fabrication (stainless steel, MIG/TIG preferred)
  • CMMS experience
  • GMP, HACCP, SQF, 5S, and LOTO compliance
Job Summary:We are seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to support a high-volume food manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing food processing equipment, packaging equipment, conveyors, and plant utility systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient production. The ideal candidate has hands-on industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment and strong mechanical aptitude with basic electrical and pneumatic troubleshooting skills. Job Duties:
  • Perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on food processing and production equipment
  • Maintain and repair conveyors, dough and pasta processing equipment, cooking/cooling systems, and packaging machinery
  • Troubleshoot mechanical systems including bearings, belts, chains, gearboxes, and drive systems
  • Perform basic electrical and pneumatic troubleshooting and repairs
  • Support facility maintenance including basic plumbing, building repairs, and general upkeep
  • Assist with equipment installation, line changeovers, and maintenance projects
  • Perform light stainless-steel welding and fabrication (MIG/TIG)
  • Use CMMS to document maintenance work, repairs, and parts usage
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, SQF, 5S, and LOTO safety standards
  • Partner with Production, QA, and Sanitation teams to support safe and efficient operations
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred
  • 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience in food, beverage, or CPG manufacturing
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills in industrial equipment and conveyors
  • Basic knowledge of electrical systems and pneumatics
  • Basic PLC exposure (Allen-Bradley or Siemens preferred)
  • Ability to read equipment manuals, schematics, and technical drawings
  • Welding/fabrication experience (stainless steel preferred)
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, overtime, weekends, and on-call support as needed
