Job Title: Operator II
Location: Rochester, NY 14626
Duration: 6 Months
Shift: 7am to 3pm and 3pm to 11pm Mon-Fri
PR: XXXXXXXXXXX to XXXXXXXXXXX/hr. Responsibilities:
- Maintain 6S within work area, organization and cleanliness.
- Perform crossover with other operators.
- Observe and learn from senior Operators.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions precisely.
- Maintain individual training records.
- Setup production equipment to produce sub-assemblies or finished products while minimizing downtime and avoidable errors/defects.
- Work environment is representative of manufacturing/warehouse environment and handling of biological products.
- Notify maintenance or appropriate personnel of malfunctions and downtime.
- Identify and troubleshoot minor production problems.
Required Experience / Education A minimum of a High School diploma, GED.
A minimum of 6 months of related experience within a manufacturing environment.
Ability to perform basic machine adjustments
Experience in a regulated industry (cGMP, SOPs, audits, etc.)
Proficiency in computers (i.e., email, internet explorer, MS Word, etc.)
Strong communication skills: Reading, writing, and team interaction.
Dependable team player with a can-do attitude.
Preferred: Experience with Lean Manufacturing.
Exhibit an ability of mechanical aptitude.

Work Environment The work environment characteristics are representative of a manufacturing, laboratory, or warehouse environment and include handling of viral and bacterial hazards, potentially hazardous chemicals, as well as infectious or potentially infectious bodily fluids, tissues, and samples. Up to 75% of the time you will be, standing, walking or sitting for extended periods of time. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Flexible work hours to meet project deadlines.
