Clinical Dietitian Job Description Job Title Clinical Dietitian Job Summary Join a dynamic healthcare team as a Clinical Dietitian at a prominent acute care facility in Greensboro, North Carolina. This role primarily supports adult inpatient units (ages 18 and older) at Moses Cone Hospital, with potential opportunities to float and provide support at other nearby campuses within the health system. The facility boasts a daily census of approximately 500 patients, ensuring a diverse and challenging clinical environment. The successful candidate will manage a varied patient population, addressing a wide range of disease states, and will be proficient in the management of both tube feeding and Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN). This position is crucial for supporting the existing team and assisting with the training of new staff, emphasizing quality and accuracy in patient care over sheer volume. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nutritional care to adult inpatient populations (ages 18 and older). Conduct Nutrition Focused Physical Exams and identify characteristics of malnutrition. Perform thorough Nutrition Assessments and Reassessments for assigned patients. Develop and implement individualized Plans of Treatment based on patient needs and medical conditions. Manage and monitor enteral nutrition (tube feedings) and Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN). Assess food-drug interactions and perform calorie counts as required. Monitor patient intake and output. Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Social Services, and Pharmacy. Float to other Cone Health campuses as needed to support patient care. Contribute to the training and mentorship of new staff members. Required Qualifications Minimum of one (1) year
