Special Events Specialist
Preferred Internal Candidate Identified Hiring salary is dependent upon experience. The hiring range is $68,623 - $76,248 / annually. Under the general direction of the Special Events Supervisor, the Special Events Specialist will establish, manage, coordinate, evaluate, and promote City-wide events and PRG outreach and celebrations. This position works cross-functionally to structure each event and coordinate all components. This is a hands-on position. The ideal candidate for this role should demonstrate exceptional organizational abilities, superb interpersonal skills, multi-tasking, and excellent time management skills.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor ' s degree in Recreation, event planning, or related field and five years ' experience in event planning and oversight. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered. Current CPR and First Aid Certificate or ability to obtain within three months of hire. Requires a valid driver's license and the ability to operate various automobiles, including 15-passenger vans. CDL is not required for this position.
