Associate Trader
The Assistant Trader - Dry Bulk is responsible for assisting the traders in the commodity trading in the specific program and general commercial activities in the Latin America region. Main Accountabilities include daily revision/validation of trading position, daily preparation of trading P&L and reconciling results versus accounting figures, assisting trading group in the elaboration and update of S&D reports, open demand, marketing plan, etc. Ensure purchase & sales contracts input to the system is performed on time and accurately as per company policies. Provide commercial support to traders with customers needs as required. Assist with the maintenance and accuracy of the logistics position versus freight position. Others as needed.

Technical: Commercial skills include excellent customer management abilities and interest in understanding customers' business models and needs, demonstrated analytical aptitude, strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate trading strategies both internally and to customers, leadership skills, willingness to learn and grow as a people manager, strong attention to detail, quality and integrity. Excellent organization and planning capabilities. Understanding of commodity trading, MTM rules, commodity cash and futures settlements practices and industry terms and exchanges (CBOT). Understanding of ocean freight market. Fluency in English and Spanish.
Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting/Finance, Agricultural Economics or related field. 1-2 years of business experience.
