Job Description

Howmet Fastening Systems is looking for a Customer Service / Supply Chain Analyst to join our Sales Department in Waco, TX. This role performs all Customer Service / Supply Chain Analyst activities including processing customer demand (via purchase orders, customer portals, or EDI communication), responding to new & existing customer supply chain actions, and addressing customer questions/concerns appropriately.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:

• Providing timely and professional service to assigned customer or distributor accounts using appropriate processes and communication channels
• Actively targeting prospective customers based on relevant sources, both remotely and in person as necessary, to qualify leads and sell Howmet products
• Handling inbound sales lead calls to convert into new business
• Receiving, entering and editing sales orders and changes thereto in accordance with company procedures
• Checking stock and future production for customers and distributors
• Answering general inquiries concerning open orders
• Receiving, responding to and routing requests for quotations as appropriate
• Receiving, responding to and routing requests for technical information, sales literature, material certifications and returned material
• Using knowledge of product, availability and customer need to best fill the order, coordinating with appropriate internal resources to answer more advanced questions
• Researching customer charge-backs and administering appropriate actions
• Working to improve knowledge of product and processes on a continual basis
• Advising Marketing Department and field sales representatives of significant information learned in customer correspondence
• Ensuring that all work activities are performed in accordance with established safety and environmental standards
• Continuously seeking improved techniques for performing job duties and engaging with peers to learn and share best practices as they emerge
• Maintaining full compliance with Company policies and procedures and conducting all activities in accordance with the company Code of Conduct
• Performing other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Qualifications include:

• High School diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree is preferred
• 1+ years experience in customer service or supply chain roles
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to problem solve
• Organizational skills and high attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively with various functions as well as work independently
• Strong computer and business software skills, with an emphasis in Excel
• Legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
• This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status.
