Maverick Currencies is hiring a Funded Trader based in Peoria, AZ. This is a remote, performance-based opportunity — we fund qualified US traders with up to $400,000 in firm capital and split profits 60% to 90% depending on performance tier.
Trading from Peoria has a structural advantage that's easy to underrate. The Mountain time zone gives you a compressed and productive trading day — London close at the start of the morning, the New York open shortly after, and the US session wrapping by early afternoon. For traders building a long-term career, that kind of stable daily rhythm compounds.
Arizona doesn't observe daylight saving, which makes its trading hours unusually predictable year-round — Phoenix and Tucson traders see the same New York open clock-time every day of the year. That stability matters when you're building a daily routine around session opens and economic releases.
This role pays through profit-share, not salary. You trade firm capital and keep 60% to 90% of the returns you generate, based on your performance tier. Consistently profitable traders typically realize $50,000 to $200,000+ annually. The trade-off is explicit: there is no salary floor. If you are not profitable, you do not earn — the upside is that profitable traders are not capped.
Q: Is this work-from-home or hybrid?
A: It's fully remote. There is no office to come into, no required in-person time, and no geographic limits beyond being US-based. Plenty of our traders have never met the team in person — the work doesn't require it.
Q: What happens if I have a losing month?
A: Losing months happen to every trader, including the consistently profitable ones. Within the firm's risk framework you have room to recover; outside of it (i.e., if you blow risk rules) the account is paused for review. Discipline is what preserves the relationship.
