Demand Planner Channel Support
The Demand Planner Channel Support works alongside the Category Demand Planning team to ensure accurate, timely, and aligned demand plan inputs for their assigned channel(s). This role focuses on guidance, validation, and facilitation rather than direct plan creation, helping to translate category-level assumptions into channel-specific operational plans. The position partners with Merchandising, Finance, Sales Planning, and Supply Chain to ensure channel KPIs are achieved, inventory is optimized, and risks/opportunities are clearly communicated.
Key Responsibilities:
- Channel Support & Facilitation
- Partner with Category Demand Planning teams to validate and guide demand plan inputs for assigned channel(s).
- Support volume-to-value translation and related commercial discussions.
- Facilitate Demand & Supply processes for the channel, ensuring alignment between financial and operational perspectives.
- Perform assumption checks to confirm timely and accurate category inputs that align with channel objectives.
- Facilitate mass uploads into the system for the demand planning team as needed.
- Analysis, Reporting & Communication
- Respond to ad hoc inquiries from demand planners regarding the commercial or financial plan.
- Create, maintain, and summarize channel-specific reporting to support decision-making.
- Consolidate and present risks, opportunities, and recommendations for assigned channel(s) to senior stakeholders.
- Project & Process Leadership
- Lead and execute assigned channel projects that drive process improvements and enhance forecast accuracy.
- Liaise with cross-functional teams (Merchandising, Finance, Sales Planning, Supply Chain) to ensure alignment on channel targets and KPI achievement.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Good analytical skills
- Excellent numerical skills
- Good SAP knowledge (APO & AFS)
- Good MS Excel skills - (pivot tables, lookup formulas, formatting, etc)
- Good knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Good communication skills
- Fluent in English
Educational Background/Minimum Requirements:
- University degree in Finance, Economics, or Business or equivalent working experience
- Demand Planning, Inventory Management, Planning, Sales, or Supply Chain experience is a plus
- Familiarity with relevant industry systems/analytical software a plus
- 3-5 years' experience overall with 2-3 years relevant experience
- First work experience in demand planning or a similar field preferably in the sporting goods industry
