This role is crucial in supporting an increased surgical case volume, ensuring high-quality patient care in a dynamic outpatient setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for patients undergoing various surgical procedures. This includes providing specialized care for adult and pediatric patients across specialties such as ENT, Spine, Podiatry, and Ortho hand. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including physical, psychological, social, and discharge planning needs. Develop, implement, and revise individualized plans of care based on patient-specific needs and medical orders. Provide direct patient care in the operating room, ensuring adherence to physician orders, facility policies, and professional standards of care. Evaluate patient and family responses to care and teaching, adjusting the plan of care as needed. Maintain accurate, timely, and legible documentation of all patient care activities in the patient record. Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other multidisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care. Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives and shared leadership activities. Provide peer direction and support to licensed and non-licensed personnel in the delivery of quality patient care. Required Qualifications Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing. Minimum one (1) year of recent, licensed Registered Nurse experience in an Operating Room (OR) setting. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within 90 days of start date if assigned to pediatric cases. Preferred Qualifications Additional Operating Room (OR) or perioperative nursing experience. Experience with Endo/colorectal procedures. Skills & Competencies Clinical Skills: Strong circulating skills for a variety of surgical specialties including ENT (Adults and Pediatrics), Spine, Podiatry, and Ortho hand.
