divh2Principal/h2pIrvington Community Elementary School (ICES) - Indianapolis, IN 46219/ppPosition Type Full Time Education Level Graduate Degree/ph3Purpose of Position/Summary:/h3pThe Irvington Community Elementary School Principal serves as the primary academic leader of the school, ensuring that the climate and culture of the building support the achievement of students and the professional growth of the adults who serve those students./ph3Essential Duties/Responsibilities:/h3ulliCurriculum development, implementation of Indiana Academic Standards/liliAnalyzes student achievement data and sets school-wide achievement goals/liliCoordinates and conducts student retention procedures when warranted/liliOversees multi-tiered supports for struggling students/liliAttends student case conferences and manifestation meetings as LEA/PAR/liliDrafts student 504 plans when needed/liliCreates professional growth initiatives for staff/liliCreates observation schedule and conducts formal classroom observations/liliConducts professional development in support of student and school-wide goals/liliOversees daily operations of school in conjunction with assistant principal/liliResponsible for staffing, recruiting and hiring for the elementary school/liliConducts performance management for direct reports/liliEnsures daily coverage for staff absences/liliServes as the school testing coordinator for standardized tests/liliDevelops master schedule and creates individual student schedules/liliCollaborates with Chief Financial Officer and Director of Human Resources to set yearly building budgets and staffing plans/liliLeads committees at the building level and serves as a Senior Management Team in support of the district/liliSupports Irvington Community Schools Corporate programs and initiatives as a representative of ICS/li/ulh3Job Requirements:/h3ulliBachelors degree in education related field; Masters degree in school administration; Indiana state administrators license is required/lili5 years classroom teaching experience is required/liliStrong verbal and written communication skills/liliAbility to lead people effectively/liliAbility to adapt when unforeseen schedule changes or complications arise/liliKnowledge of Charter schools and the special challenges they face/liliStrong organization and self-motivation skills/li/ulh3Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports:/h3ulliElementary School General Education Teachers/liliElementary School Special Education Teachers of Record/liliAssistant Principal/liliSchool Counselor/li/ul/div
