Regional Admissions Lead

Portland, Oregon

Regional Admissions Lead

(Hybrid, with frequent travel to schools within your region (minimum 1x/month)

Overview of the Role

As the Regional Admissions Lead (RAL), you serve as a strategic and hands-on leadership partner supporting schools across the admissions, marketing, and parent experience domains. In this role, you help create the conditions that allow schools to thrive by strengthening enrollment health, deepening community connection, and ensuring families feel genuinely welcomed, known, cared for, and connected throughout their experience with the school. The region includes schools in Washington, Oregon, and Northern California.

A key part of this work is embedding hospitality deeply into the culture and daily practices of schools so that every interaction with families reflects warmth, professionalism, responsiveness, and trust. Great RALs understand that admissions is not simply about filling seats. It is about building relationships, connection, and belief in the school community. You will partner closely with school leaders to strengthen the full family journey from first impression through long-term community belonging. Through coaching, modeling, strategic thought partnership, and hands-on support, you will drive admissions outcomes, improve brand awareness, and deepen our schools' reach and impact within their local communities. You will also collaborate closely with the corresponding central domain teams (e.g. School Operations and Marketing) to support ongoing development work such as improving admissions resources for our school teams and onboarding and training processes.

Support may take many forms, and the mix of support will shift based on the developmental stage of each school with earlier-stage schooling typically require more hands-on execution support, while more established schools benefit from coaching toward independence and stronger community presence. In all cases, the goal is to directly support school leaders in growing their capabilities to own strategy and execution within admissions, marketing, and parent experience more independently at the school level in close coordination with the broader regional team.

This work is deeply rewarding and deeply demanding. Strong RALs balance strategy with execution, support with accountability, and data-informed decision-making with deep hospitality and relationship-building while remaining closely connected to the realities of individual campuses. You should be energized by both strategic problem solving and the day-to-day work of helping schools execute with excellence.

Your Key Areas of Focus

Depending on the size, scope, and growth needs of the region, the RAL may report either to the Regional Manager (RM) or Assistant Regional Manager (ARM). In either structure, the RAL is responsible for driving strong execution and outcomes within the admissions, marketing, and parent experience domains in close partnership with their direct manager.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Drive strong admissions outcomes across the region by partnering with school leaders on enrollment strategy, tour quality and conversion, and active management of the admissions pipeline. In some cases, this role may directly own lead outreach, model high quality tours, and support tour follow-up directly with families depending on the school's capabilities and growth.
  • Conduct regular school visits to assess admissions health, parent experience, and community engagement efforts while strengthening relationships with school teams.
  • Support schools in developing scalable and sustainable admissions and community engagement practices that improve long-term effectiveness and independence.
  • Analyze enrollment, engagement, and community data to identify trends, develop strategic hypotheses, and drive action-oriented solutions. This role serves as the primary point of accountability for admissions and marketing performance data within the region, with direct access to reporting and analytics previously routed through central support.

Parent Experience & Community Building

  • Help schools translate community visibility into healthy enrollment growth. Strengthen school leaders' ability to understand and execute thoughtful local outreach, business partnerships, social media presence, events, to build broader community understanding of our pedagogy and brand at the local level.
  • Coach and support school leaders in delivering warm, professional, hospitality-driven family experiences from first inquiry through long-term enrollment and community belonging.
  • Strengthen school leaders' parent communication, onboarding, family engagement, and Montessori understanding in ways that build trust, connection, and long-term loyalty within school communities.

Coaching, School Partnership, and Leadership Development

  • This role is not one-size-fits-all. The specific mix of responsibilities will vary meaningfully based on the developmental stage and needs of each school. In earlier-stage or less stable schools, this role may provide more hands-on partnership, at times working directly alongside school leaders or temporarily stepping in to help execute while leaders build skill and confidence. As school leaders and campuses grow in strength and stability, the role shifts toward greater strategic thought partnership, coaching, and accountability, with the goal of increasing school-level ownership, independence, and long-term sustainability over time. Most regions will include schools at multiple stages, and this role should expect to move fluidly between these modes based on where each school is and what it needs most.
  • Partner closely with school leaders through regular school visits, modeling, accountability, and strategic thought partnership focused on strengthening execution, judgment, prioritization, and leadership capacity within admissions, marketing, and parent experience.
  • Provide clear written communication and follow-up, including visit recaps, action plans, accountability tracking, and community engagement updates.
  • Serve as a hands-on support partner during urgent, sensitive, or high-impact family or admissions situations.
  • Onboard and development of new leaders, specifically as it relates to admissions, while building strong relationships across schools and central support teams to ensure schools receive timely, coordinated, and effective partnership.

Regional Partnership & Culture

  • Be a visible and trusted regional partner by maintaining strong presence within school communities including attending select parent-facing events and community engagement opportunities.
  • Partner closely with regional and central teams (e.g., School Operations & Marketing) to ensure schools receive coordinated support across admissions, marketing, parent experience, and broader school health priorities.
  • Act as a cultural leader who models Guidepost values through professionalism, responsiveness, warmth, accountability, hospitality, and thoughtful leadership across the region.

What You Bring

  • Passion for education and a deep belief in the lasting impact of a strong early childhood experience.
  • Experience in admissions, enrollment management, customer experience, community engagement, marketing, school leadership, or related relationship-driven operational roles.
  • Experience providing feedback, accountability, and day-to-day guidance to others while helping drive strong admissions execution and team effectiveness.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to assess data and balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
  • Exceptional relationship-building and hospitality instincts with the ability to build trust quickly, influence across functions, and create warm, welcoming experiences for families and school communities alike.

What we offer:

  • Ongoing professional development
  • A network of supportive peers and mentors who regularly share best practices
  • Career growth and promotion opportunities
  • A competitive salary
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Paid time off and paid holidays
  • 75% tuition discount for two children at any school within our network (we serve children 3 months through 6 years old)
