Job description

Project/Program Manager It 4

Duration: 12 months

Location: Peoria, IL

C2C Rate: $70-78/Hr. On C2C

Client: Caterpillar

Visa: No Visa Restrictions

Position's Contributions To Work Group:

  • An extensive knowledge about Caterpillar business and processes, and comprehensive understanding of the IT organization(s), procedures/processes associated delivering technical solutions that result in robust solutions capable of achieving the expected business outcomes.
  • Should have strong program and project management, communication, change management, analytical and organizational leadership skills.
  • Experience leading and facilitating multiple complex programs/projects that involved cross-functional teams comprised of IT staff and business unit personnel.
  • Prior experience developing project charters, project plans, budgets, program/project status reports, IT Governance and Controls, and facilitating stakeholder and sponsor updates.

Education & Experience Required:

  • 4 year Bachelor's Degree
  • 8+ years' experience in this capacity

Technical Skills:

  • Project/program management tools such as Azure Dev Ops and Microsoft Project.
  • Should have strong program and project management (both agile and waterfall), communication, change management, analytical and organizational leadership skills.
  • Experience leading and facilitating multiple complex programs/projects that involve cross-functional teams comprised of IT staff and business unit personnel.
  • Prior experience developing project charters, project plans, budgets, program/project status reports, IT Governance and Controls, and facilitating stakeholder and sponsor updates.
  • Knowledge of Mainframe and distributed based applications is desirable.
  • Knowledge of Dealer system integrations at Caterpillar is desirable.

Typical Task Breakdown:

  • The candidate will work with project teams daily on planning transformation projects along with other PMs/Scrum Masters to plan, execute and communicate project status.
  • Provide operational project leadership support for current initiatives that require formal project structure and governance.

Interaction With Team:

  • Stretch across multiple teams (both IT and business) throughout the building.

Work Environment:

  • 5 days a week

Disqualifiers/Red Flags:

  • Someone who cannot work for 5 days in the Peoria LC office.
