Job description

EHS Program Manager

ZT Systems is seeking an ambitious EHS Program Manager to support our Georgetown Factory.

They will use human and organizational principles to drive ownership of safety, health, and environmental impacts, with a focus on engagement, learning from events, training, and systems-level problem-solving. The candidate will develop, implement, and continuously improve programs within the EHS Management System framework in partnership with the broader EHS and Infrastructure teams. They will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations, and conformance to ISO standards.

What You'll Do

  • Ensure the EHS Management System elements are applied effectively in coordination with EHS Management.
  • Develop new procedures, inspections, training, or reports as needed.
  • Actively work with factory stakeholders to ensure that Production and Factory changes result in improved controls of risks to health, safety, and the environment.
  • Perform audits and inspections, document results, and ensure actions to closure.
  • Analyze incident trends and use risk-assessment methods to identify continuous improvement projects that reduce injury, illness, and environmental impact events.
  • Facilitate incident investigations from a learning team's approach, ensuring that preventative actions address system causes and not just individual behaviors.
  • Participate in pre-job planning and verification of controls/safeguards before new, high-risk, and non-standard work begins.
  • Partner with other EHS functions (Construction & Equipment Safety, EHS Systems and Tools, EHS Training, etc.) as needed to ensure effective service delivery to the Georgetown site.
  • Monitor and administer EHS systems and tools used onsite in Georgetown (e.g., incident reporting, performance dashboards, action trackers, etc.).
  • Deliver EHS Training and facilitate workshops for onsite teams.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's Degree in Safety Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health, or a related field
  • 5+ years of work experience as an environmental, health, or safety professional, preferably in a manufacturing, oil & gas, construction, or similar workplace.
  • Experience supporting EHS program development, training all levels of personnel, and influencing/managing change to reduce risk and improve outcomes.
  • Experience with hazard analysis methods, hazard communication, powered industrial vehicle safety, OSHA compliance, incident investigation and learnings, and corrective action management.
  • Familiarity with industrial hygiene, industrial ergonomics, machine safety, and environmental compliance processes.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure while managing competing demands and deadlines.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Expert proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, etc.)
