The Opportunity
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Project Coordinator to join their internal operations team. This is a vital "hub" role where you will support construction projects directly from the office, ensuring that the administrative and logistical gears are turning smoothly behind the scenes.
What You'll Be Doing
You will be the glue between the field, the vendors, and the finance department. Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Financial Administration: Building purchase orders, preparing customer quotes, and managing sales orders and invoices.
- Project Documentation: Navigating and managing contracts, subcontracts, and change orders (including verbal COs).
- Logistics & Procurement: Procuring necessary equipment and meticulously tracking deliveries to various job sites to ensure no downtime for field crews.
- Data Management: Utilizing Excel to track project health and financial metrics.
What You Bring to the Table
To hit the ground running, you should have a solid foundation in both construction terminology and data management.
Construction Fluency: You should understand the lifecycle of a project and be familiar with industry-specific vocabulary (Subcontracts, Change Orders, etc.) to minimize the training curve.
Excel Proficiency: You aren't just a "basic" user. You should be comfortable using:
- Pivot Tables for data organization.
- VLOOKUPs for cross-referencing information.
- IF Functions for basic logic-based reporting.
Professionalism: Since you will report to the CFO function rather than field staff, a high level of administrative polish and financial literacy is required.
