Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Grants Program Manager, you will lead the design, implementation, and tracking of grant activities, assisting funders in achieving public health initiatives. You will identify and implement significant operating efficiencies for optimal grant fund utilization, collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team for program referrals.

The position requires strong financial acumen, exceptional communication skills, and a deep understanding of extramural funding agency regulations and federal/state laws. The Grants Program Manager will call upon this working knowledge to independently guide and advise investigators and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with funding obligations, cost accounting principles, extramural reporting obligations and related local policies. This position serves to promote proposal development to maximize extramural research funding opportunities and ensure successful grant outcomes with minimal to no supervision.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop proposal budgets and complete cost analysis to determine financial feasibility of research grant proposals.
  • Ensure research grant adherence to all funder guidelines and requirements.
  • Facilitate and obtain all necessary institutional approvals prior to submission.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of grant applications for completeness, accuracy, and compliance before submission.
  • Manage the submission process, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of all required documents.
  • Negotiate with funding agencies to address any questions or concerns regarding applications.
  • Manage awarded grants, ensuring compliance with all terms and conditions of the grant agreement.
  • Draft and finalize all research grant-related interagency agreements, cooperative agreements, and subaward agreements.
  • Coordinate tracking grant expenditures and support the preparation of financial reports to funders and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all grant-related activities
