Job description
Physician Veterans Disability Evaluations (PRN)Location: North Platte, NESchedule: 1 day per week (PRN, ongoing)Coverage Area: Providers must be willing to travel within a 50-mile radiusMalpractice Insurance: Included in rateCompensation$1,000 per day for 5hour shifts$500 per day for 0 4 hour shiftsFlat daily rates include exam time, documentation, and required follow-up addendumsAbout the RoleThis PRN opportunity allows physicians to support U.S. Veterans by performing one-time disability evaluations. The role is strictly non-treatment and non-prescribing, focused on clinical interviews, medical record review, and limited physical assessments to support benefit determinations.The position offers flexibility, predictable scheduling, and a streamlined clinical workflow with no ongoing patient care responsibilities.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct one-time disability evaluations and separation health assessmentsPerform interview-based exams with limited physical components (e.g., range of motion and strength testing)Review medical records and diagnostic documentationComplete evaluation reports, medical opinions, and occasional addendumsSubmit documentation within established turnaround timesPosition HighlightsPRN, ongoing needOption for half-day or full-day shiftsNo treatment, prescribing, or longitudinal careLocal travel only (included in compensation)Efficient onboarding and credentialing processAdministrative follow-up work is included in the daily rateAccepted SpecialtiesFamily MedicineInternal MedicineOrthopedic SurgeryProviders with a General Medicine backgroundClinicians with prior disability or compensation exam experienceLicensure & CertificationBoard Certification requiredActive, unrestricted Nebraska medical license required
