This Opportunity:

The Florida Civil / Municipal Growth Leader will be responsible for setting the vision, driving strategic growth, and representing SEH as a trusted partner to municipalities throughout the state, while leveraging the resources, expertise, and national reach of a growing firm. SEH is seeking an instinctive and proven municipal civil engineering leader to guide and grow our Florida practice, building on an established and capable team already serving communities across the Florida Panhandle and beyond. This role is designed for a respected industry professional with deep municipal relationships, a strong local reputation, and the ability to lead collaboratively by winning work, mentoring talent, and delivering exceptional results.

• Shape and execute growth strategy by identifying target markets, priority audiences, and scalable growth opportunities.
• Build talented teams and client portfolios by leveraging firmwide resources across markets to drive growth strategies
• Own and direct multi-practice projects, setting strategic direction and ensuring seamless execution across regions

Essential Qualifications:

• Demonstrated leadership in setting and executing market strategy, aligning project delivery and business development to drive sustained, profitable growth
• Expert at orchestrating cross-disciplinary teams to deliver complex projects efficiently and at scale
• Trusted partner to senior internal leaders, shaping growth strategies and evaluating high impact market opportunities
• Deep, established executive network across Florida, with strong market presence and influence
• Proven market builder with a consistent record of winning, expanding, and retaining client relationships
• Motivated by ownership and long term impact, joining SEH as an employee owner with direct accountability for the success, growth, and legacy of the market and work they lead
• Registered as a Professional Engineer in the state of Florida

Preferred Qualifications:

• Fifteen (15) years of experience leading market or regional growth strategies, with accountability for business development, client expansion, and delivery performance
• Demonstrated success overseeing complex, multidisciplinary project portfolios, balancing strategic vision with operational execution
• Ability to influence and collaborate at the executive level, partnering with internal leaders to shape investment priorities and long-term growth plans
• Prior experience in, or strong alignment with, an employee-owned organization, embracing shared accountability for growth, profitability, and legacy

Base compensation is expected to be in the range of $140,000 and $180,000 based on skill set and experience. Check out our full benefits package at SEH Hiring Journey.
