Located in Jackson, MS, UMMC is the state's only academic health science center with the mission to improve the lives of Mississippians by educating tomorrow's health care professionals, by conducting health sciences research, and by providing cutting edge patient care. A major goal of the Medical Center is the elimination of differences in health status of Mississippians based on race, geography, income, or social status. Preferred:
- Terminal degree (MD, PhD in Health Sciences, Medicine or BioMedical Education and four years experience as director of Graduate level health science in education)

- Maintains literacy and understanding of medical procedures
- Able to explore and adapt new simulation technologies
- Good writing skills
- Able to collaborate well with clinicians and basic scientists
- Experience in clinical education, including giving effective feedback to trainees in high intensity environments
- Experience with health sciences accreditation processes
- Experience working in, leading, and evaluating interprofessional healthcare delivery teams
