Compensation: $80,000 per year.

Role Purpose: The System Operations Manager directs and coordinates all Ground Handling activities to provide fast and efficient services for customers by performing duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. The System Operations Manager will be responsible for all Ramp Services and Passenger Services ensuring that the delivery of service is consistent, professional, safe, and secure. This role requires a seasoned senior manager with a strong operational and business understanding and leadership skills. The incumbent must have the ability to run a business in a challenging environment, while maintaining strict Menzies Corporate Governance and Financial guidelines.

What you will be doing:

• Fully responsible for all aspects of the station. Services offered at the station include, Ramp and Passenger Services, and GSE services.
• Reviews data on incoming flights such as scheduled or estimated times of arrival or departure, destinations and downline station stop, in order to plan work activities.
• Direct and coordinates all operations functions and ensures workers and equipment are available for all services.
• Analyzes reports and records of operations and inspects facilities to determine effectiveness of existing methods and procedures and physical condition of facilities and equipment.
• Prepares and submits recommendations designed to improve efficiency of all services.
• Investigate causes of accidents and recommend safety measures for preventing further occurrences.
• Leading and working with the senior team to maintain and enhance appropriate, effective safety & security systems, risk assessments, periodical inspections & audits, operational training programs, planning, operational processes, and service delivery.

What we are looking for:

• Excellent leadership and people management skills
• Extensive management and/or support service experience, preferably in Ramp Handling and Customer Service.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills balanced with a high level of confidence to influence and present at all levels.
• Interpersonal skills: Independence, decisiveness, and the ability to work accurately and independent of immediate support.
• All applicants must hold the requisite employment authority to work in the USA.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a current valid US driver's license.
• Ability to proficiently read, write and speak English.
• Able to remain calm under pressure.
• Must be comfortable lifting 70lbs.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
• Must pass FBI background check and obtain US Customs seal.
• Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.
