The City of Columbus, Department of Technology, Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) is seeking a program manager to assist with the rollout of a citywide strategic roadmap initiative. The mayors office is leading the initiative and will provide direction to the program manager.
The initiative is being managed using a waterfall schedule, which is then used to feed two-week sprints for multiple work groups. The initiative is being managed using Smartsheets.
This position will work closely with the core team to plan the program and projects, facilitate meetings, support working groups, lead sprint planning, assist with organizational change management, and help maintain momentum across all the workgroups.
This position will work with the project coordinator who is responsible for managing the initiative schedule, preparing sprint cycles, managing the control log (risk/issues, action items, decisions, and questions), scheduling meetings, and general assistance for the initiative leadership team.
The program manager will work closely with the project coordinator, initiative leadership, change network strategist, and the EPMO.
The city is seeking an experienced program manager who is capable of leading change in an environment that is not yet federated. Assist the team with gaining buy-in from the stakeholders. Experience with previously leading strategic roadmap, planning, or portfolio efforts is desired. The successful candidate will be able to speak to all levels of the organization, clearly explaining objectives and deliverables. They will assist the team in how best to meet the objectives and milestones.
Skill:
Smartsheet experience working in a workspace as an editor: Dashboards, Reports, Sheets, and intake forms. 1+Year Experience.
Schedule management experience 4 Years - Required.
Risk and issue management based on PMBOK 4 Years - Required.
Change management based on PMBOK Required 4 years.
Experience managing sprints 2+Years.
Executive-level communication skills in written and verbal 4 Years - Required.
Experience with strategic planning 2 years.
Experience with portfolio management 2 years.
Experience managing programs with heavy Organization Change Management 2 years.
Microsoft Office Suite 1+ Years.
