This role is responsible for supervising nursing staff, ensuring high-quality resident care, maintaining regulatory compliance, and supporting a collaborative interdisciplinary care model./ppThe Unit Nurse Manager plays a critical role in resident outcomes by coordinating care, responding to changes in condition, mentoring staff, and ensuring accurate documentation and survey readiness./ph3Key Responsibilities/h3h4Clinical Leadership Resident Care/h4ulliProvide direct supervision and clinical oversight of nursing care during assigned shifts/liliPerform daily rounds on residents, monitoring for changes in condition, wounds, IV therapy, infections, and high-risk concerns/liliInitiate timely physician communication using SBAR and follow up on labs, orders, and treatment plans/liliParticipate in admissions, readmissions, care planning, and resident assessments/li/ulh4Staff Supervision Support/h4ulliSupervise LVNs and CNAs, including medication administration, treatments, and ADLs/liliProvide real-time coaching, education, and performance feedback/liliAddress staffing needs, calloffs, and shift coverage to ensure safe staffing levels/li/ulh4Care Planning Documentation/h4ulliOversee and update individualized care plans based on resident condition changes/liliReview MARs/TARs, nursing notes, and admission documentation for accuracy and compliance/liliConduct chart audits and provide inservices to support survey readiness/li/ulh4Interdisciplinary Physician Coordination/h4ulliCollaborate with physicians, therapy, social services, dietary, and other departments/liliParticipate in care conferences and interdisciplinary meetings/liliCoordinate hospital transfers and discharge planning/li/ulh4Risk Management Compliance/h4ulliInvestigate and document falls, incidents, pressure injuries, and infections/liliEnsure adherence to infection control, isolation precautions, and safety protocols/liliMaintain compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards/li/ulh4Shift Management/h4ulliConduct clinical huddles and shift-to-shift reports/liliEnsure all orders, documentation, and followups are completed before shift end/li/ulh3Qualifications/h3h4Licensure Certification/h4ulliCurrent, unrestricted RN or LVN license (State of California)/liliCurrent BCLS certification/li/ulh4Education/h4ulliGraduate of an accredited School of Nursing/li/ulh4Experience/h4ulliMinimum 6 months of long-term care or acute care nursing experience within the past two years, or equivalent competency/li/ulh3Knowledge Skills/h3ulliStrong clinical judgment and leadership abilities/liliExperience with IV therapy, wound care, and medically complex residents/liliEffective communication and documentation skills/liliAbility to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams/liliKnowledge of infection control, safety, and compliance standards/li/ulh3Physical Work Requirements/h3ulliAbility to stand, walk, lift, push, and pull up to 40 lbs/liliFrequent standing and walking in a clinical environment/liliUse of PPE as required (gowns, masks, gloves)/liliIndoor facility work with occasional exposure to noise and clinical hazards/li/ulh3Why Join Us?/h3ulliLeadership opportunity with direct impact on resident care/liliSupportive interdisciplinary environment/liliStable, mission-driven organization focused on quality outcomes/liliOpportunity to grow professionally within nursing leadership/li/ul/div
