Education Administrative Fellow

Under the close supervision of the Director of Faculty Development and the Chief Financial and Administrative Office in the School of Medicine (SOM), the Education Administrative Fellow will perform administrative and analytical duties in support of SOM educational and administrative operations. The duration of the position is 12 months. Fellows participate in projects and activities that build and strengthen essential administrative skills. Fellows for academic year 2026/2027 will rotate to three departments, on a four-month rotation. Fellows are assigned at random and not guaranteed a specific department. Fellows will complete projects during their rotation and will attend monthly didactic sessions. The position will have variable hours (may be asked to work nights and weekends).

The full salary range for the Administrative Fellow is $53,097 - $89,700 annually. The expected pay scale for this position is up to $71,409 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff. As a University employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training. Required

Master of Education, Master of Educational Leadership, Master of Health Administration, Master of Business Administration, Master of Public Health, or other equivalent degree. Required

Business coursework in Accounting/Finance, Operations and Business Administration. Preferred

Experience Requirements

0 - 1 years of related experience. Required

Special Conditions

Occasional local travel to various UCR/SOM locations and sites. Required

Applicants with a stated desire to pursue a career in higher medical education. Required

Minimum Requirements

Skills to learn organization-specific and other computer application programs.

Acquiring knowledge of applicable policy analysis techniques.

Analytical skills that are typically acquired during the course of obtaining a Master's degree.
