Who You Are: Amoskeag Health is seeking a dedicated Lead Medical Assistant who thrives in a collaborative, team-based clinical environment. You support efficient, high-quality patient care across clinical teams while providing leadership, training, and operational support to Medical Assistants within a Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) model. You work closely with providers to ensure clinic readiness, regulatory compliance, and a strong patient experience, and are comfortable covering a variety of MA assignments, including provider support, immunization clinics, and specialty clinics in support of Amoskeag Healths mission. What You'll Do: Prepare client to see medical provider; collect and record data for health history to include height, weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respiration, medications, and allergies, as indicated.Prepare room based on reason for client visit. Anticipate providers needs and follow through on treatment protocol within their role. Prepare medical record for visit, reviewing protocols due.Assist provider with procedures. Act as a chaperone when necessary.Assist patient in identifying and seeking help for specific problems. Provide education, within scope, regarding health issues the patient is involved with. This will be under the direction of the M.D.Schedule additional laboratory tests and make outside referral appointments (to hospitals) with direction from the medical provider. Record pertinent data in the medical record and utilize appropriate tracking systems.Assist in contacting patients for follow-up on missed appointments, recall testing, and outside referral appointments.Routinely stock rooms, order necessary supplies, and prepare contaminated instruments for re-sterilization following OSHA exposure control guidelines.Participate in the orientation of new personnel to Medical Assistant functions.Perform call center duties as assigned.
