Senior Program Manager
Sony Corporation of America (SCA) is seeking a Senior Program Manager to join the Digital Transformation (DX) Office based in San Diego or Los Angeles CA. The DX Office leads enterprise wide digital initiatives that reshape how Sony operates, serves customers, and creates value across global business units. This role goes beyond program coordination it is a strategic leadership position responsible for translating business strategy into executable, measurable transformation outcomes. The Senior Program Manager will lead high-visibility, cross-functional global programs that modernize platforms, enable new business models, and drive operational excellence.
You will serve as the orchestrator across business, product, data, and technology leaders, ensuring alignment, governance, risk management, and delivery of measurable business impact not just project completion.
This position is a hybrid role requiring 2-3 days on-site in the San Diego or Los Angeles Office.
POSITION SUMMARY What You Will Own You will be accountable for end-to-end program leadership, from strategy alignment through value realization.
Strategic Program Leadership
Lead a portfolio of enterprise digital transformation programs spanning multiple business units, regions, and technology domains
Translate corporate and business strategy into roadmaps, investment priorities, and execution plans
Drive initiatives that transform customer experience, business models, data capabilities, and operational processes
Ensure programs deliver measurable business outcomes (revenue growth, cost efficiency, speed-to-market, customer impact)
Cross-Functional & Executive Alignment
Act as the primary program lead, partnering with Senior Leadership, Business Innovation, Product, Engineering, Data, Legal, and Operations
Facilitate decision-making across competing priorities, trade-offs, and constraints
Lead executive-level governance forums, including steering committees and program reviews
Communicate complex program status, risks, and strategic implications in a clear, business focused manner
Execution Excellence at Scale
Own delivery of large, complex, interdependent programs across globally distributed teams
Manage scope, timelines, budgets, resource planning, and release coordination
Proactively identify and manage cross-program dependencies, risks, and systemic constraints
Establish program structures, cadences, and operating rhythms that enable predictable delivery
Value Realization & Operational Readiness
Ensure solutions are not only built, but adopted and operationalized
Partner with business stakeholders on:
- Change management
- Process redesign
- Go-to-market readiness
- Go/No-Go release decisions
Define and track KPIs and success metrics tied to business value
Governance & Continuous Improvement
Establish scalable program management practices, tools, and standards across the DX organization
Drive continuous improvement in delivery models, cross-team collaboration, and execution efficiency
Mentor junior program/project managers and elevate program management maturity across the organization

QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION
Your qualifications and experience should include:
EXPERIENCE
10+ years of progressive program management experience, including leading large-scale, complex digital or technology programs
Proven success track in PMO roles at a top tech organization
Direct program management experience in AI initiatives, cloud, data, commerce and/or identity management strongly preferred
Proven track record managing:
- Cross-functional, cross-regional programs
- Multi-team dependencies
- High-visibility, business-critical initiatives
- Experience working directly with senior executives and steering committees
Program & Delivery Expertise
Deep expertise in:
- Program governance
- Risk and dependency management
- Financial and resource planning
- Release and operational readiness planning
Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, release management, and iterative delivery models
Experience integrating modern technologies (data platforms, analytics, digital platforms, automation, etc.) into business processes
Business & Strategic Acumen
Ability to connect technical delivery to business strategy and financial impact
Experience supporting go-to-market planning, product launches, or business model enablement
Strong decision-making capability in ambiguous, fast-changing environments
Communication & Leadership
Exceptional ability to influence without authority across diverse teams
Executive-level communication and storytelling skills
Strong facilitation, negotiation, and conflict resolution capabilities
High integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct
Education
Bachelor's degree required
Top-tier MBA or equivalent business-related advanced degree strongly preferred
Tools
Experience with collaboration and program tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Project, SharePoint, Teams, or equivalent.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
Experience working in global, multicultural environments
Experience across both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
Domain experience in one or more areas:
- Data & analytics

The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $150,000 to $170,000. In addition to the annual base salary, this role has an annual bonus target of 17%. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
