The Senior Director, Global Procurement Governance establishes and maintains the global governance framework that enables consistent, compliant, and efficient procurement execution across the enterprise. Reporting to the VP, Global Procurement this role leads procurement policy and procedure development, process optimization, systems governance, learning and development enablement, and audit response management, ensuring alignment with enterprise risk, controls, and strategic objectives.

The role provides leadership over procurement governance, process excellence, and sustainability initiatives, supported by direct reports who collectively serve as the central authority for procurement operational standards and controls.

Global Procurement Governance

• Define, own, and maintain global procurement policies, procedures, standards, and controls; coordinate with US Federal compliance protocols and efforts
• Ensure procurement governance aligns with enterprise policies, regulatory requirements, and risk frameworks
• Govern procurement forms, templates, and documentation standards
• Act as an authority for interpretation and application of procurement policy

Leadership & Organizational Enablement

• Lead and develop procurement governance and process excellence projects, practices and teams
• Set priorities, allocate resources, and establish clear accountability for deliverables
• Partner cross-functionally on Environmental, Social and Governance initiatives
• Provide governance guidance and expertise to procurement leadership and teams globally

Global Procurement Academy

• Establish the Global Procurement learning strategy and operating model across procurement roles, internal customers, stakeholders, and suppliers
• Implement a procurement competency framework with role-based proficiency expectations
• Build a Global Procurement Academy including standards, curriculum architecture, role-based learning paths, certification/badging, and annual refresh cycles
• Measure continuous improvement for learning and development effectiveness.

Process Excellence & Standardization

• Own Global Procurement's end-to-end global process optimization and documentation
• Coordinate cross-functionally on end-to-end process harmonization
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, scalability, compliance, and user experience
• Establish and monitor process performance metrics and control effectiveness

Procurement Systems & Technology Governance

• Ensure systems enable compliant execution of sourcing, contracting, and procure-to-pay processes
• Oversee change management, release governance, and adoption for procurement technology as it relates to corrective action, governance, or process improvement success

Audit, Risk, and Compliance Oversight

• Serve as primary Global Procurement liaison for ongoing internal audit and risk management activities
• Own procurement-related audit findings, corrective action plans, and remediation tracking
• Ensure sustainable closure of findings and proactive strengthening of controls
• Identify emerging risks and implement preventative governance measures

Key deliverables include:

• Global Procurement policy and procedure roadmap and realization
• Standardized global procurement process architecture and documentation
• Improved process efficiency, control effectiveness, and compliance outcomes

Measures of success include:

• Consistent global adoption of procurement policies and processes
• Reduction in audit findings and repeat issues
• Improved cycle times, control performance, and system utilization
• Clear governance, decision transparency, and stakeholder confidence in procurement operations

Role characteristics include:

• Trusted advisor to the VP, Global Procurement on procurement risk, controls, and maturity

Posted salary range: Minimum $191,300.00 to Upper $250,000.00
