IT Project Manager
Location: Alpharetta, GA/Charlotte, NC/Chicago, IL/Conshohocken, PA/Garden City, NY/Houston, TX/Morristown, NJ/New York, NY/Purchase, NY (Hybrid)
Hybrid 3 days' work from office is mandatory from any of the above locations
Must Have Skills
- 7+ years of IT project management experience supporting application development and data integration initiatives.
- Strong working knowledge of project management methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage mid-sized to large IT projects.
- Experience within commercial insurance or financial services environments preferred.
- Proven experience delivering projects using Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid methodologies.
Role Responsibilities
- Lead end to end project management activities for complex IT initiatives, including application, integration, and AI enabled solutions.
- Manage day to day execution across all project phases to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Develop, maintain, and govern project documentation, including charters, schedules, budgets, risk logs, and communication plans.
- Partner with business stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and success criteria.
- Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and technical teams to translate business needs into functional and technical deliverables.
- Secure and coordinate project resources and funding in collaboration with leadership and functional managers.
- Monitor project performance and provide regular status reporting to sponsors and stakeholders.
- Communicate project risks, dependencies, issues, and mitigation plans to leadership and executives.
- Ensure project deliverables comply with governance, audit, and internal control requirements.
- Identify and manage cross project dependencies and resolve conflicts proactively.
- Stay current on emerging technologies, including AI trends, and assess applicability to project delivery.
- Perform additional project related duties as required.
Technical Qualifications
- 5+ years of IT project management experience supporting application development and data integration initiatives.
- Strong working knowledge of project management methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage mid-sized to large IT projects.
- Experience within commercial insurance or financial services environments preferred.
- Proven experience delivering projects using Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid methodologies.
- Hands on experience with project and portfolio management tools such as MS Project, Planview, and SharePoint.
General Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills tailored to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and prioritization skills with strong attention to detail.
Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (B.A. / B.S. degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred but not required.
- CPCU designation or advanced degree is a plus.
