Job description

Accenture Infrastructure & Capital Projects

You've never been satisfied with "good enough." You want to make an impact, not just manage projects, but change how the world gets built. At Accenture Infrastructure & Capital Projects, you'll do exactly that. You'll help develop and deliver the factories, grids, transit systems, and public infrastructure that keep communities moving - and do it smarter, safer, and more sustainably than ever before.

You'll work alongside people who think big and act bold - project managers, engineers, technologists, and strategists who blend real-world experience with digital innovation and AI. Together, we're transforming how capital projects are planned, managed, and executed, creating a better way to build for the future.

Because "good enough" builds the past. You're here to build what's next, on a team that outperforms every norm.

The work:

  • You'll manage daily contract administration activities including processing pay applications, RFIs, submittals, change documentation, and schedule reviews. And coordinate construction work within active marine terminals and operational port facilities while minimizing impacts to ongoing operations.
  • You'll work directly with terminal operators, contractors, utility providers, and stakeholders to develop clear and mutually agreeable work plans.
  • You'll provide construction management oversight for marine terminal, waterfront, and infrastructure improvement projects.
  • You'll assist in dispute resolution efforts and facilitate weekly project coordination meetings.
  • You'll manage inspection staff and oversee preparation and delivery of daily inspection reports in accordance with client requirements and act as liaison to design teams regarding contractor RFIs, constructability issues, and shop drawing reviews.
  • You'll perform technical review of construction plans, specifications, and project modifications for constructability and practicality and monitor, coordinate, and enforce compliance with contract documents, environmental requirements, and safety regulations and perform field inspections to ensure work is completed in accordance with approved plans and specifications.
  • You'll identify non-compliant work and coordinate corrective action as necessary and immediately report critical project issues, safety concerns, and potential schedule delays.
  • You'll monitor and document construction equipment, workforce activities, and contractor performance and manage contractor payment processes and recommend appropriate adjustments when necessary.
  • You'll maintain awareness of all applicable safety and health requirements and ensure compliance with contract provisions and ensure all field changes and modifications are incorporated into final record documents and communicate and coordinate effectively with contractors, clients, regulatory agencies, utility providers, and other stakeholders.
  • You'll support development and implementation of port electrification and sustainability initiatives and perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Onsite at client site: The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships.

With all our roles, there is some in-person time for collaboration, learning and building relationships with clients, peers, leaders and communities. As an employer, we will be as flexible as possible to support your specific work/life needs.

Here's what you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Urban Planning, Construction Management, or related field, or 4 additional years of qualifying experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum 15 years of construction management experience on municipal, transportation, port, waterfront, or public infrastructure projects.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience supervising or inspecting engineering construction work.
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing construction or modification of on-water or near-water shipping terminal facilities on at least one completed project.
  • Proven experience delivering projects that include electrified infrastructure components and marine/waterfront construction activities within active port environments.

$180,000 - $220,000 a year Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Illinois, Minnesota, California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Ohio or Washington as set forth below.
