Essential Duties & Responsibilities · Drive a semi-truck and trailer · Inspect Trucks/Tractors/Trailers before and after every trip or as required by management or DOT · Maintain accurate driver logs · Maintain proper documentation per regulatory requirements for transport and disposals · Performs other job-related duties as required or assigned Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications · Knowledge of semi-truck operating principles · Knowledge of roll off cans, and how to pick them up/drop them off · Ability to drive safely in varying working conditions · Working knowledge of hazards and safety precautions common to drivers is also required · Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test · Must be able to work 8-to-12-hour workdays, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends · Must be at least 18 years of age · US Citizen Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics · Ability to be punctual and dependable · A strong commitment to safety and quality work · Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and employees, external vendors and other business associates · Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions Preferred · N/A Supervisory Responsibilities · This position will not have supervisory responsibilities.
