Axiom Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Buyer / Purchasing Coordinator to join a growing team in Alpharetta. This position is responsible for sourcing and evaluating vendors, managing purchase orders, coordinating deliveries, and ensuring inventory needs are met while maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and internal departments. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Responsibilities
Manage purchase orders through the company's e-procurement system
Source suppliers based on pricing, availability, quality, necessity, and logistical considerations
Evaluate vendors through research, interviews, site visits, and performance analysis
Negotiate pricing, contracts, and purchasing agreements with suppliers
Run and analyze reports generated through point-of-sale (POS) systems to support purchasing decisions
Monitor inventory levels and make informed purchasing decisions to maintain adequate stock
Collaborate with internal departments to ensure customer and operational needs are met
Coordinate with suppliers, sellers, and shipping agencies to ensure timely delivery of goods and services
Monitor the quality and integrity of delivered products and services
Maintain accurate purchasing records and vendor documentation
Build and maintain positive relationships with vendors and business partners
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Experience managing purchase orders through an e-procurement system required
Experience running and analyzing POS system reports preferred
Strong inventory management and vendor evaluation experience
Excellent negotiation and vendor relationship management skills
Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external suppliers
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and purchasing software preferred
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Reliable attendance and punctuality required

Location: Alpharetta, GA
Pay: $23/hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
