Electronics Production Test Development Engineer

Reporting line: Manager, Technical Operations
People leadership: No direct reports; may coordinate or lead projects

Is this you?
  • Do you thrive on troubleshooting production test failures and getting lines back on track fast?
  • Can you take a new test platform from engineering concept to full-scale manufacturing with confidence?
  • Are you fluent in building test methods for components, assemblies, and finished products—and standardizing equipment to match?
  • Do you balance technical depth with an eye for labor standards, cost estimates, and continuous cost-out?
What you’ll tackle
  • Own day-to-day Test support, resolving production issues swiftly and sustainably.
  • Plan and execute the transition of new test platforms into manufacturing (fixtures, SW, documentation, training, and validation).
  • Create, validate, and improve test methods from part-level to final system verification.
  • Drive standardization of test equipment to improve repeatability and reduce variation.
  • Estimate costs and labor, then pursue targeted cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Implement and maintain clear, auditable test procedures.
  • Invest in your technical growth to remain current on best practices and tools.
  • Promote a safe, secure, and efficient test area.
  • Deliver accurate, high-quality work—every time.
How you’ll work
  • Collaboration: Partner with management, purchasing, manufacturing, contract manufacturers, suppliers, and customers.
  • Autonomy: Operate with minimal supervision—individually or on a team—making test recommendations and decisions that move projects forward.
  • Outcome focus: Contribute to multiple complex, time-critical projects, emphasizing on-time execution.
What you bring
  • BSEE or equivalent plus 3–5 years of Test Engineering experience in electronics manufacturing/assembly.
  • Hands-on mastery of test equipment and manufacturing test technologies.
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) proficiency.
  • Ability to conceptualize and resolve complex technical problems.
  • IPC certification and strong written/verbal communication with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility and self-direction; comfortable working with minimal oversight.
Proficiencies we value
  • IPC-A-610
  • OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturing)
  • Equipment troubleshooting
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • AS9100 experience
