Job Summary:
Speech Language Pathologist Pediatrics in Oakland, California. This position involves providing specialized speech therapy services to pediatric patients within a designated healthcare facility. The role requires delivering clinical assessments, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to support pediatric patient care.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: 2 years of experience, including at least 1 year of hospital experience, BLS certification, California license in hand, and a Bachelor of Science (BSN) degree or higher for RN positions; licensed Speech Language Pathologist with relevant certifications for SLPA positions
  • Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric outpatient, pediatric rehabilitation facility, and Children's Hospital experience, PICU experience, and proficiency with Epic charting system
  • Skills: Acute care, alternative communication devices, assessment, augmentative communication, autism, bedside swallow evaluation, CELF (Clinical Evaluation of Language Fundamentals), communication board, developmental delays, discharge planning, evaluation, group therapy treatment, hearing impairments, Hyolaryngeal exercises, interpreting modified barium swallow studies, language disorders, oral motor skills, oral peripheral exam, Passy Muir valves, pediatric outpatient care, pediatric rehabilitation, PICU, plan of care development, preschool language scale, Reassessments, Rossetti Infant-Toddler Language Scale, signs and symptoms of abuse, SLP evaluation coding, suctioning, TBI, thickening agents, trach/vent, ventilator dependence, Western Aphasia Battery, and additional related skills
  • Additional Information: Candidates must be available for orientation, with the start date of 08/03/2026. Travel and float rotation may be required within a 75+ mile radius. References from recent employment are necessary, and all credentials must meet specified requirements.
