Description
St. Thomas the Apostle School, a TK-8 Catholic elementary school, is seeking a dedicated and innovative English Language Arts teacher for middle school for the first Trimester of the 2026-2027 school year (approx. Sept.-Nov.). The middle school ELA teacher will also be responsible for one grade-level homeroom. The ideal candidate has prior teaching experience and is adept in planning, implementing, and assessing students in a student-centered learning environment. The prospective candidate can use multiple forms of data to guide instruction and assess student progress. In addition to classroom instruction, the candidate must be a team player and willing to collaborate with administration, colleagues, parents, students, and parish community. The ideal candidate is a practicing Catholic, in good standing with the Catholic Church, mission-driven, and dedicated to “Creating a blessed community, in the heart of Los Angeles, one child at a time.”

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
