The Director Project Engineering leads all aspects of engineering execution of ETO (Engineering to Order) projects and NPD (New Product Development) Programs to furnish project work in a manner consistent with customer expectations for ETO projects and program expectations for NPD programs. Director will lead a team of Project/NPD Product Engineers and Engineering Coordinators. Director Project Engineering is responsible for planning and prioritizing work for the engineering team to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals. The individual must collaborate with a multi-functional team from proposal stage beyond start-up. Director Project Engineering will work closely with the PMO, Product Management, Sourcing, Manufacturing, Sales and engineering disciplines to ensure all processes are in place and projects and programs are executed in the most efficient manner.
Success in this position requires the candidate to work effectively in both a collaborative and independent environment, be safety conscious, possess good communication skills with both internal and external customers, high attention to detail is critical, and is strongly motivated to deliver project/program and department objectives.
