Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
• 3 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure or distributed systems.
• 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
• 2 years of experience in a people management or team leadership role.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• 3 years of experience working in a matrixed organization.
• Experience in large-scale data processing.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a talented team of 8 engineers, shaping each individual's career growth, and fostering high-performance culture.
• Define and execute Dataflow Streaming strategy and roadmap for Seattle team in partnership with other Dataflow leads and cross-functional partners (e.g., PMs, SREs).
• Lead the design and development of a scalable, reliable streaming platform.
• Ensure Dataflow is seamlessly integrated with key products like BigQuery, GCS, Pub/Sub, and Kafka.
• Provide expert technical guidance and build an understanding of Dataflow's Streaming internals to effectively mentor executive engineers and drive architectural choices.
