About this Role: We're looking for an organized, people-focused Human Resources Generalist to help drive an exceptional employee experience from recruitment and onboarding through development, payroll, benefits, and beyond. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to make a meaningful impact on both employees and the business. You'll be a trusted resource for our team while helping shape and support key HR initiatives across the organization.In the role you will:Support recruiting efforts, including job postings, candidate coordination, and interviewing onboardingLead the onboarding experience for new hires, coordinating pre-employment screenings, HR system setup, employment documentation, and new employee orientation to ensure a smooth and welcoming transition into the organizationServe as a key point of contact for employees regarding benefits, leave, payroll, and HR-related questionsManage employee records, HR systems, and personnel documentationProcess bi-weekly payroll and ensure accurate timekeeping, PTO, and employee reimbursementsCoordinate employee communications, recognition programs, and company eventsSupport training, professional development, certifications, and compliance initiativesAdminister performance review programs and employee lifecycle processesAssist with employee offboarding, exit interviews, and termination proceduresPartner with leadership to ensure HR processes are efficient, compliant, and employee-focusedWhat We're Looking ForBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred3+ years of Human Resources experiencePayroll administration experience preferredExperience with HRIS and payroll systems; Paylocity experience is a plusStrong organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent communication and relationship-building abilitiesAbility to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretionIn addition to working within our strong employee focused culture, you will get:Competitive compensation Company profit sharingMedical insuranceDental InsuranceVision InsuranceEmployee assistance program401k with a company matchEnjoy Employee events throughout the year (picnics, sledding, holiday dinner, etc.)Paid time off 7 Paid HolidaysIf you like a company that's big enough to provide stability yet small enough where you can have autonomy within your work and move fast, Engelsma Homes is the place for you.
