Job description
Job description: Principal/Sr. Principal Software Engineer opportunity in South Colorado Springs paying $155K$160K. The team is looking for someone with an active DoD Secret clearance, strong C++ development experience, hands-on CUDA expertise (including libraries such as cuFFT and cuBLAS), Linux development experience, and a background in signal data processing. Experience supporting radar-related systems is especially valuable. This role supports the DARC program and combines hands-on software development with architecture, integration, and Agile-based engineering efforts. Qualifications: *JOB SUMMARY:* The*Senior Principal Software Engineer*supports the DARC program based in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This role provides technical expertise in software architecture, development methodologies, system integration, and emerging technologies. *SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:* * Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs applications software, and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. * Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. * Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. * Ensures software standards are met. * Establish and maintain software development standards, coding guidelines, and best practices. * Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and frameworks to improve system capabilities and development efficiency. * Support Agile development processes including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and technical reviews. * Why is This a Great Opportunity: *REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:* * Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical field. * 5+ years of software engineering experience including enterprise system development. * Active DoD Secret clearance at the time of application * At least 2years of experience with CUDA, including libraries like cuFFT and cuBLAS * At least 5 years of experience with C++ * At least 2 years of experience with Linux * Experience with some form of signal data processing * Experience with radar systems preferred * Experience with radar signal processing preferred * Experience with NVIDIA MatX library preferred * Experience with Docker or podman preferred * Self-starter, able to take minimal direction and go off on their own *Salary Type *: Annual Salary *Salary Min *: $ 150000 *Salary Max *: $ 160000 *Currency Type *: USD
