JLL - Facilities Manager (P3)

Location: Downtown Detroit, MI (splitting time between 2 sites) Work Schedule: Onsite, M-F 8 AM-5 PM or 9 AM-6 PM
Reports to: Regional Operations Lead
Estimated base salary range: $84,600 - $90,000 + 10% annual salary bonus
What This Job Involves:
As a Facilities Manager at JLL, you'll serve as a strategic operational leader and the primary client interface for facility services across assigned properties. This role combines executive-level partnership with hands-on operational excellenceyou'll work directly with Regional Operations Leadership and Executive Account Directors to shape the overall facilities vision while ensuring flawless daily execution across multiple sites. Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 5-7 years of progressive facilities management experience with demonstrated leadership responsibility
- Strong working knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, and building automation systems
- Proven experience managing budgets, vendor contracts, and multi-site operations
- Deep understanding of applicable building codes, OSHA regulations, ADA requirements, and environmental compliance standards
- Excellent project management skills with ability to prioritize competing demands and deliver results on time and within budget
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with demonstrated capacity to make sound decisions under pressure
- Proficiency with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Facility Manager (CFM), Facility Management Professional (FMP), or similar professional certification
- Experience in corporate office environments or commercial real estate facilities management
- Background in sustainability initiatives including LEED, ENERGY STAR, or other green building programs
- Previous experience managing union labor or working within collective bargaining environments
- Strong financial acumen with experience in capital planning and forecasting
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor junior team members and contribute to talent development
