What You’ll Do

• Provide obstetric triage and emergency GYN care
• Manage prenatal labor and delivery admissions
• Deliver 1-4 babies per shift in a Level 1 NICU setting
• Collaborate closely with hospital staff and MFM specialists (on-site MFM not available)
• Handle unassigned gynecology emergencies and routine OB procedures
• Document patient encounters accurately in the EMR system
• Ensure patient safety and high-quality care during all shifts

What You Need

• Active Iowa medical license and current Board Eligibility/Certification in OB/GYN or Family Medicine
• Minimum of 2 years OB/GYN clinical experience preferred
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently in a hospital setting

About the Assignment
This assignment is at a busy hospital in Waverly, IA, serving approximately 200 annual deliveries. The OB hospitalist team manages OB triage, emergency gynecology cases, and routine deliveries, providing essential coverage and support for the hospital’s OB services. The facility offers a collaborative environment committed to delivering exceptional patient care.
