- Mold temperature strategy (crystallinity control)
- Injection velocity profiling
- Pack/hold optimization
- Cooling and cycle time modeling
- Conduct DOE studies and drive Cp/Cpk improvement.
- Manage proper resin drying and contamination control protocols.
- Support mold trials and production launch readiness.

- Develop technical cost models including:
- Estimated cycle time
- Machine size requirements
- Material consumption & runner waste
- Expected scrap rate
- Secondary operations (machining, annealing, inspection, assembly)
- Tooling complexity and cavitation strategy
- Provide gate location and tooling concept recommendations during the quoting phase.
- Assess part geometry risks that affect cycle time or dimensional stability.
- Partner with Sales to ensure quotes are:
- Technically feasible
- Margin-protective
- Based on realistic process assumptions
- Identify when parts should be molded vs. machined from PEEK stock.
- Participate in customer technical reviews when needed.
4. Process Analysis & Continuous Improvement
