Inventory Clerk

Stable (founded in 1996), recession-proof (no layoffs during down economies, even during Covid shutdowns), medium size (20 employees) firm specializing in specialty pop culture products is hiring for full-time position in Portland, Maine's downtown business district within a professional Class A office building.Work Location:In person Job Type:Permanent Position Part-time (with potential to transition to full-time, salaried position) Minimum Education:High School Graduate Resume is required for application.Cover letter is encouraged Inventory Clerk The Inventory Clerk is responsible for ushering all items through pre-sale organization and post-sale breakdown.Position responsibilities include:Physically sorting a high volume of product into item order (Alphabetically, Numerically, Grade, etc.) prior to each monthly sale date Periodic consolidation of inventory as orders are picked Item locating and retrieval Re-organizing product remainders after an initial shipping period Assisting the shipping team as needed, with order handling, and supplies restocking Other duties as assigned as needed Qualities:The ideal candidate is capable of executing a physically demanding role consistently and reliably.Candidate must have strong organizational skills, keen attention to written detail, and will be able to work well in a cooperative environment.Conscientiousness Accuracy Efficiency minded Ability to process a high volume of material Must be able to lift 25-30 pounds regularly Long periods of standing, walking, leaning, and stretching Sorting, cataloguing, and order picking experience a plus Benefits:Free Private Gym access Comfortable, Class A office building (Not warehouse) Casual dress In the heart of downtown Portland Pay:$17.00 - $20.00 per hour Application Question(s):What interests you about this position?
