We are looking for an Entry-Level Environmental Geologist or Engineer to join our Anchorage, AK Environmental team.

We’ll empower you to learn and grow in the delivery of environmental site characterization and remediation projects for government and global private-sector clients – to make our world better.

In this position you’ll work with a multidisciplinary team of scientists, engineers, subject matter experts, and project managers on exciting projects in which you will learn from others and pass along your knowledge. Responsibilities may include performing field activities such as well installation, soil sampling, groundwater sampling, surface water, sediment sampling, and other relevant media.

Office tasks include conducting data evaluation on field and laboratory data sets and preparing technical reports documenting completed activities and results.

Estimated approximately 50% of your time will be spent on field project work (on job sites) and the other 50% of your time will consist of office work that will be completed in a Hybrid work environment (you’ll be afforded the flexibility to work from both the office as well as from home as best suited to meet project delivery goals while maintaining balance).

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, geology, natural sciences, or other closely related degree
• 0-2 years of experience working on project sites
• 40-hr HAZWOPER certification or the ability to attain this certification
• Willingness to perform field work and travel 40-60% (includes local travel in Alaska as well as travel outside of the region)
• United States Citizenship

Ideally, you’ll also have:

• Master’s degree in geology, engineering, or other closely related technical field.
• Strong attention to detail, problem solving skills, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and in a team environment.
• Ability to work outdoors in a variety of challenging settings and terrains.

Posted Salary Range: Minimum 58,656.00 Posted Salary Range: Upper 80,000.00

The base salary range for this position is $58,656.00 to $80,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
