Location/Division Specific Information The Chemical Analysis Division (CAD) is headquartered in Franklin, MA with operations throughout the world generating $800+ million in annual revenues with 2,200 employees and is an equal opportunity employer. The division is focused on instrument manufacturing and services with industry demographics of environmental, laboratory, & process applications.
An opportunity exists for a results-oriented professional to be a member within the accounting function of the CAD Financial Shared Services Team (CAD FSS). This role is located in Franklin, MA reporting into the Accounting Manager. The role requires accounting experience in a manufacturing environment with an understanding of large ERP software systems including a solid understanding of US GAAP and SOX compliancy principles with the ability to articulate to senior leadership. The main focus will be to support the Staff Accountants of the Thermo Environmental Instruments and Thermo Scientific Portable Analytical Instruments businesses with the General Accounting functions utilizing fundamental accounting theories and concepts. This position offers the right candidate a significant opportunity for career development and growth.
Education Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance MBA / CMA an advantage
Experience Experience with ERP systems at a G/L level Experience with Infor XA (MAPICS), Intuitive, Sage ACCPAC is preferred. Experience with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) or strong aptitude for multi-dimensional financial reporting databases. Ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment while meeting required deadlines. Ability to work independently; self-motivated; high bias for action. Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP concepts with proven technical accounting skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
