Responsibilities Patient Account Rep/Cash Poster
Metropolitan Behavioral Health (a UHS Facility)
A growing -bed behavioral health facility – Metropolitan Behavioral Hospital provides a full continuum of inpatient services across the entire patient population, including specialty programs to serve adolescents, adults and older adults, and perform behavioral health assessments hours a day. Additionally, programs for co-occurring behavioral health and substance use issues are offered to meet the unique needs of this patient population. The facility provides a robust outpatient program utilizing a combination of group, family and individual therapy.
Position Summary:
The Patient Account Rep/Cash Poster is responsible for posting all cash and other types of payments received by the Business Office. As well as other date entries such as account adjustments and charge posting. Cash Poster maintains an organized process to ensure that all monies received belong to the facility and that they are posted to the appropriate account. Other related duties include, but not limited to verification of benefits, patient financial assessments, and assisting patients with Medicaid Applications.

Qualifications Education and Experience:
Education: High school diploma or GED is required; medical business office certificate and/or training is preferred
Experience: Two-years of medical business office experience is preferred.
