We're looking for a driven and committed Technical Consultant to join our busy technical team in the USA and play a key role in shaping the next generation of our technology. This is a hands on engineering role where your expertise will be challenged, expanded, and valued every day.
Acting as a trusted technical authority, you'll solve complex problems, design innovative solutions, and support customers, colleagues, and partners. You'll become a subject-matter expert on our products and services, creating technical documentation, delivering training, and providing technical consultancy services to internal and external stakeholders. You'll also apply your deep knowledge of mobile operator systems, cellular modems, SIM technologies, and certification processes to help define and improve the Company's technical roadmap. Your insight will shape new processes, influence product direction, and directly contribute to the Company's success.
What You'll Be Doing:
Testing and validating products and applications to ensure quality and performance.
Investigating and resolving customer and client issues with confidence and clarity.
Supporting the planning, design, and acquisition of new or upgraded hardware and software.
Collaborating with the hardware team to define cutting-edge IoT devices.
Working with the network team to architect and optimise IP routing.
Installing, configuring, and supporting enterprise software, onsite and remotely.
Designing bespoke technical solutions for unique customer requirements.
Getting to the root cause of complex technical challenges.
Acting as the final escalation point for the service desk team.
Delivering client training on installation and ongoing support of advanced software products.
Ensuring each client project is both a technical and commercial success.
Running technical workshops and solutionarchitecture sessions.
Becoming a goto expert for our products and associated technologies.
Staying ahead of emerging hardware, software, and network technologies and recommending
improvements.
What You'll Bring:
Minimum 5 years' experience in an engineering-focused role.
A degree (minimum 4 years) in engineering or a related technical discipline.
Strong commercial awareness and the ability to thrive in a fastmoving, scaling business.
Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organisational and timemanagement skills, comfortable working independently.
Practical, hands-on problemsolving ability.
Understanding of service monitoring and management tools.
Proactive approach to generating ideas and continuous improvement.
Experience working directly with clients in a technical capacity.
Nice To Have:
Cellular communications experience.
Knowledge of IoT devices or embedded technologies.
Experience with certification processes, especially Verizon.
The successful candidate must be based in North Carolina or within a reasonable commuting distance.
