Clinical Psychologist – Belle Chasse, LA (Long-Term Contract)

What You’ll Do
  • Conduct psychological evaluations using clinical interviews, testing, and collateral sources
  • Establish psychiatric diagnoses in line with APA guidelines and DSM criteria
  • Provide individual and group psychological treatments to patients
  • Assist medical and surgical patients in managing illnesses or injuries from a mental health perspective
  • Perform targeted assessments, including diagnostic impressions and functional status evaluations
  • Practice within state licensing guidelines, APA ethical principles, and privileges
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to support patient mental health needs

What You Need
  • Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA-accredited program
  • Successful completion of APA-accredited internship/residency
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a licensed Clinical Psychologist
  • Active, unrestricted license to practice in any state
  • Current BLS Healthcare Provider certification
  • Ability to pass a government background check/security clearance

About the Assignment
This position is based at a military healthcare facility in Belle Chasse, LA. The role involves providing psychological services to active-duty personnel and their families, conducting evaluations, diagnosing, and implementing treatments within a multidisciplinary team setting. Support the mental health and well-being of service members with a focus on comprehensive care.
