Clinical Psychologist – Belle Chasse, LA

  • Shift: Days, Monday–Friday, 8.5 or 9 hours (including lunch)
  • Hours/Week: 40-45 hours
  • Employment Type: 1099
  • Licenses/Certifications: Active, unrestricted Clinical Psychologist license; BLS certification
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year as a licensed Clinical Psychologist

What You’ll Do:

  • Conduct psychological evaluations through clinical interviews, testing, and collateral information
  • Establish diagnoses following APA guidelines and DSM criteria
  • Provide individual and group therapy tailored to patient needs
  • Assist medical teams in managing mental health considerations of patients
  • Perform assessments including diagnostic impressions and functional status evaluations
  • Practice within state licensing board guidelines, APA ethical principles, and privileges
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support patient mental well-being


What You Need:

  • Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA-accredited program
  • Successful completion of an APA-accredited internship/residency
  • Active, unrestricted license in any state
  • Current BLS Healthcare Provider certification
  • At least 1 year of experience as a licensed Clinical Psychologist
  • Strong assessment, diagnostic, and interpersonal skills


About the Assignment:
This position is based at a reputable military healthcare facility in Belle Chasse, LA. You will provide essential psychological services to active-duty personnel and their families, including evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment plans within a dynamic multidisciplinary environment focused on supporting the mental health and resilience of service members.
