Job Description
The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout the property. This role supports the daily operations of the Facilities Department by ensuring assigned areas are cleaned, sanitized, organized, and stocked according to company standards. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and committed to providing excellent service to residents, tenants, guests, and staff. Housekeepers play a key role in creating a positive experience by maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize common areas, restrooms, offices, lobbies, breakrooms, elevators, and other assigned areas.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and polish floors, furniture, fixtures, and surfaces.
- Empty trash and recycling containers and dispose of waste properly.
- Replenish restroom and cleaning supplies as needed.
- Clean windows, mirrors, glass surfaces, and other high-touch areas.
- Follow daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules.
- Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, equipment issues, or supply shortages to Facilities leadership.
- Safely operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning chemicals according to company and OSHA/WISHA guidelines.
- Follow established sanitation procedures to ensure a healthy environment.
- Assist with room setups, special events, and facility projects as directed.
- Maintain storage areas, custodial closets, and cleaning equipment in an organized manner.
- Respond to cleaning requests and emergency cleanup situations promptly.
- Assist with snow removal, light exterior cleaning, and seasonal property upkeep when needed.
- Support Facilities staff in maintaining an attractive and professional appearance throughout the property.
- Interact professionally with residents, tenants, guests, vendors, and coworkers.
- Follow all safety policies, procedures, and training requirements.
- Participate in department meetings, training sessions, and safety programs.
- Complete assigned tasks efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Facilities Management.

Work Environment
This position works both independently and alongside Facilities team members in a professional property management environment. Daily activities involve cleaning and maintaining indoor common areas and may occasionally include outdoor duties. Safety, professionalism, and attention to detail are essential to success in this position.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $64000.00 - $66000.00/yr.
