This is a part-time, intermittent position serving the Uxbridge Public Schools. The Recording Secretary provides clerical support to the School Committee by attending meetings and creating and maintaining an official, accurate record of all School Committee and subcommittee proceedings. This position plays an essential role in ensuring transparency, accountability, and compliance with open meeting requirements and state regulations. SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY The Recording Secretary is responsible for minutes of all regular and open session meetings of the School Committee and its subcommittees. Recording and minute-taking for executive sessions shall remain the responsibility of the School Committee Chair or their designee, as these sessions are closed to the public and require specific legal handling.
