Job description
Job Title: Technical Designer
Location: Renton, Washington (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are excited to present an opportunity to join a renowned production engineering team supporting the full life cycle of commercial airplane programs. Our team is seeking a dedicated professional who thrives in a collaborative environment focused on technical excellence and process improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Provide materials and process support across airplane programs, from initial design through to fleet support.
- Review specifications and engineering documents to control design and certify production of electrical, electronic, and electromechanical components.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, manufacturing, and supplier teams to develop solutions for materials and process challenges throughout the product life cycle.
- Conduct failure analysis and lead evaluation of emerging technologies for their application within future commercial products.
Required:
- Associate degree in a related discipline and typically 9+ years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience working with aerospace design, including detail and assembly parts, and proficiency with CATIA or equivalent solid modeling tools.
- Understanding of fundamental drafting principles, machining of metallic parts, and product structures (details, parts, assemblies, installations).
- Ability to work on-site at Renton, Auburn, Puyallup, and Everett locations and comply with post-offer drug testing policies.
