Mortgage Business Analyst
The Mortgage Business Analyst is responsible for supporting mortgage operations, system enhancements, workflow automation, and regulatory compliance initiatives within a fast-paced banking environment. This role serves as a key liaison between business users, operations teams, compliance, IT, and third-party vendors to deliver scalable solutions that improve efficiency, accuracy, customer experience, and operational controls.
Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Process Improvement
- Gather and document business requirements for system enhancements and process improvements
- Partner cross-functionally to identify inefficiencies and implement optimized workflows
- Translate business needs into functional specs, process flows, and testing scenarios
- Support automation, integrations, and digital initiatives
System Administration & Support
- Support and maintain ICE Encompass (Desktop/Web) and related platforms
- Configure business rules, forms, milestones, fields, workflows, notifications, and reporting logic
- Lead system releases, testing (UAT/regression), and deployments
- Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate resolutions with vendors and IT
Reporting & Data Analysis
- Develop reports, dashboards, and KPIs using SQL or BI tools
- Analyze pipeline performance, SLAs, and operational trends
- Support executive reporting, data validation, and audit requests
Compliance & Risk Management
- Support regulatory updates (e.g., HMDA, TRID) and system changes
- Ensure alignment with internal controls and policies
- Maintain documentation for system changes and releases
Testing & Project Support
- Execute UAT, regression testing, and validation efforts
- Develop test plans, scripts, and documentation
- Support project planning, implementation, and post-production activities
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, IS, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of Business Analyst experience in mortgage or financial services
- Experience with mortgage lending systems, business process analysis, workflow automation, reporting, and user support.
- Experience with loan origination systems such as ICE Encompass is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of mortgage lifecycle and processes
- Experience with requirements documentation, testing, and data analysis
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills

Compensation
The base pay range for this position is USD $20.00/Hr. - USD $30.00/Hr. Exact offers will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
